We're looking for someone to join our team as a Podiatrist who: Will be a part of the primary care team and provide medical services focused on the patient’s feet, ankles, and below the knee conditions through referrals sent by our primary care providers in the 20+ primary care centers. Responsibilities

  • Performs in-person and virtual visits.
  • Provides podiatric care to Clinica Sierra Vista patients.
  • Prepares and reviews medical histories and obtains data through interviews.
  • Examines patients, formulates diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing.
  • Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans.
  • Provides consultation to the nurses and clinical staff.
  • Consults with other staff physicians and advanced practice providers personnel regarding medical management of patients and common podiatric problems encountered in the clinic.
  • Communicates on the planning and direction of the primary care team as it relates to podiatry care.
  • Provides the following procedures: nail debridement, callus trimmings, wart excision, ingrown nail excision, injection therapy (corticosteroids, local anesthetics), excision cutaneous skin lesions, nail matrixectomy, skin ulcer treatment (debridement), strapping/taping of the foot and ankle, and closed reductions of minor foot fractures
  • Participate in other care procedures according to training and demonstrated ability.
  • Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.
  • Keeps accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Always adheres to the highest standards of medical ethics.
  • Always assures quality of care for all patients and regularly participates in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs
