The Print on Demand (POD) Operator is responsible for producing high-quality printed materials using various digital printing machines. This role involves preparing files for printing, operating multiple printing and finishing machines, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process. The position operates on the 2nd shift, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Receives files from Pre-Media department, order entry system, or Project Management team and assigns to the appropriate machine.
Prepares files for printing including size, color, and image adjustments.
Operates Konica Minolta C14000, Ricoh 9200 series, Ricoh 8320, and Merlin K146 Inkjet press.
Reads job ticket to setup and operate various finishing equipment including Horizon perfect binder and PBS 2800 Koilmatic.
Occasionally operates a cutter to provide finished products.
Processes orders via online ordering system, including order acceptance through delivery.
Follows color machine calibration sequences and performs quality checks.
Maintains consumable materials inventory.
Assists with kitting and fulfillment tasks.
Ensures sensitive jobs match records and makes corrections if necessary.
Understands and performs basic file imposition in programs like Metrix or pdf Snake.
Follows SOPs for disposal of PHI or PII material.
Works with outside technicians to troubleshoot machinery issues.
Assists in other departments as needed.
Follows safety procedures and maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
Maintains security and confidentiality as per company policy.

High School diploma or GED preferred.
1-3 years of previous experience in a print or finishing environment strongly preferred.
Ability to multitask and operate multiple machines simultaneously.
Basic understanding of desktop computers, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft products.
Completion of required training courses upon hire and annually thereafter.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
