About the position

AECOM is seeking an established professional services leader in the Transit-Rail sector to support the Division Manager to drive the growth, strategy, and profitability of AECOM's services in the West Coast of the United States. This individual will be part of the leadership team for the West Coast Transportation Business Line reporting directly to West Coast Transit-Rail Division Manager. The PNW WC Transit/Rail Department & Client Account Manager will provide leadership and coaching to staff in various subjects including, but not limited to, account management, business development, capture management, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will be an industry leader with existing relationships at key transit agencies in the state of Washington. The Transit-Rail business line at AECOM spans the full suite of services including environmental, planning, engineering, design, and program and construction management. This leader will need to be a self-starter who can build a high-performing team rapidly, demonstrate a successful track record in winning work, and be experienced in running a profitable business.

  • Act as an external leader for AECOM and maintain a visible profile in the region

  • Support growth, strategy, and sale of AECOM's Transit-Rail Services

  • Work closely with operations and other leadership as it relates to staffing, recruiting, retention, employee engagement

  • Help build a strong and thriving culture in the West Coast that promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and innovation
  • Lead negotiations of contractual and financial agreements with clients and sub-consultants

Requirements

  • BA/BS and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education, including 2 years of leadership experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Registered Civil Engineer in Washington
  • BS Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated leadership and managing large teams of people with prior P&L experience
  • Ability to build broad and deep internal and external networks, and capable of communicating to inspire and lead others
  • Ability to teach and mentor technical staff by demonstrated knowledge of relevant technical skills and tools
  • Team-oriented individual with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate clearly and simply to clients, leadership, and technical staff
  • Ability to balance various responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality
