About The Position

The Pneumatic Tanker Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of dedicated dry bulk material, specifically plastic, for a dedicated lane. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Drivers will operate specialized pneumatic trailers equipped for secure loading and unloading.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class A CDL
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and pneumatic systems
• Ability to operate pumps, valves, and pneumatic blowers safely
• Strong attention to detail and time management

Nice To Haves

• Pneumatic experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (preferred)
• Prior tanker or pneumatic hauling experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate pneumatic equipment and truck in compliance with DOT, EPA, and company regulations.
• Check vehicle systems, tires, brakes, lights, and tank integrity before and after each trip.
• Utilize compressed air systems to load/unload dry bulk materials through sealed hatches and piping.
• Monitor gauges, pressure levels, and ensure proper sealing to prevent leaks or contamination.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, hours of service, cargo details, and inspection reports.
• Follow HAZMAT protocols, spill response procedures, and use PPE during operations.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, customers, and team members for timely deliveries.
• Keep trucks clean and perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., fluid checks, tire pressure).
• Comply with federal, state, and local transportation laws, including hazardous materials regulations.
