About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of customer communications using OpenText Exstream (formerly HP Exstream). This role involves designing, programming, and testing data-driven documents and ensuring seamless integration into multi-channel delivery workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with OpenText Exstream Dialogue (Design, Composition Center, Empower Editor, Live Editor).
• Proficient in data manipulation and integration techniques (XML, XSLT, SQL, etc.).
• Strong programming and logic-building skills.
• Understanding of print and digital output formats (PDF, AFP, HTML, etc.).
• Experience working in a batch and interactive communication environment.
• Knowledge of customer communications management (CCM) best practices.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare, financial services, utilities, or insurance industries.
• Familiarity with document archival and workflow systems.
• Exposure to Agile or DevOps environments.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Shell).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop customer communications using OpenText Exstream Dialogue platform (Design and Live Editor).
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into efficient document composition solutions.
• Create and maintain templates for print, email, and digital output channels.
• Integrate data from various sources (XML, CSV, flat files, etc.) into Exstream templates.
• Develop business rules and logic for dynamic content rendering.
• Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot and resolve document generation issues.
• Optimize template performance and maintain version control.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to support deployment and production workflows.
• Maintain documentation for developed solutions and configuration management.
• Ensure compliance with branding, regulatory, and accessibility standards.
