Join our dynamic Infectious Disease team located in Scarborough, Maine as a PMO, Manager, with responsibility across the Maine Campus. This role is responsible for managing major projects or a combination of projects. The primary function of this position is to manage multiple projects of moderate to high complexity through the complete project lifecycle involving global cross-functional teams. Builds, leads, and develops direct reports to select and use appropriate project management tools and manage project risks. Responsible to establish and improve PMO processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Science or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in a high-volume, multi-product manufacturing environment including working with Quality Assurance.
  • Extensive experience with project management and general business principles.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in a high-volume, multi-product manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Define the business results expected from a project.
  • Make recommendations for achieving project results in terms of compliance, quality, time, scope, and cost.
  • Lead the team through the translation of management and customer needs into project goals.
  • Identify resource requirements, cost and time schedules, and participate in the funding process.
  • Develop an implementation plan, conduct risk assessments, and develop and implement contingency plans.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, quality system, ethics policy, and project goals.
  • Assure that projects will effectively integrate with existing programs and strategies.
  • Establish and manage team charter including project timeline.
  • Participate in identifying project resource needs and funding.
  • Negotiate with resource managers to resolve any resource limitations.
  • Lead the decision-making process by soliciting cooperation from diverse disciplines.
  • Reach out to cross-functional leadership to resolve or escalate issues as needed.
  • Participate on division initiatives to identify process improvements.
  • Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, project staff, and experts.
  • Prepare and present written and oral reports to internal and external audiences.
  • Interact with senior level management to present significant Program strategies.
