The company has 900 professionals, with major investment hubs in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. The U.S. team comprises ~90 professionals, with >80 in NYC and ~10 in San Francisco. Our Investment Operations team is growing and we’re looking for an Investment Operations Specialist based in our New York office, who is highly motivated, detail focused and with a strong team spirit. We work in a very dynamic and collaborative environment, liaising closely with our Legal, Tax and Investment teams as well as external counterparties, ensuring an efficient and high quality processing of investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• At least 7 years’ experience ideally working within the Private Equity department of a law firm.
• High level of initiative and attention to detail, with a clear focus on client service.
• Experience working as part of a cross-jurisdictional team, supporting fellow team members, and also have a strong ability to work independently, taking ownership and responsibility for various tasks.
• Efficient, accurate, organized, flexible and have a reliable working style, with a strong ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
• Adapt and learn quickly in a changing environment.
• Open, clear and professional communication style, with an ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• An integral part of a cross-jurisdictional team, with other team members based in Switzerland and Ireland.
• Partnership with our Investment, Tax and Legal teams both in the US and globally to ensure that transactions on behalf of LGT entities into externally and internally managed funds are executed in a timely and accurate manner, covering various transaction types across the Private Equity, Real Estate, Credit, and Infrastructure asset classes.
• Ensure that all necessary operational processes for each transaction are handled within the timeframes required and in line with internal procedures.
• Ensure strong, professional communication and co-ordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and complete transaction documents (subscription documents, transfer agreements, other legal transactional documents), in an increasingly time-pressured and complex environment.
• Compile and provide KYC documents in relation to ongoing transactions and ad-hoc KYC requests, working to ensure our entities are onboarded in a timely manner.
• Work together with our Investment Operations teams in Europe, ensuring transaction execution continues across the different time zones.
• Coordinate and resolve internal and external queries and execute various types of ad-hoc legal documentation.
• Support the team in various ongoing projects, particularly in terms of process enhancements and system development.
