About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to clients across the lifespan DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This staff member will be based regionally with regular travel to assigned clinics/locations. Duties include: Conduct psychiatric evaluations; provide medications/prescription management; and complete reports and related documentation in adult and child outpatient clinics and contracted health care facilities. Perform psychiatric review and sign all treatment plans as required by statute and funding agencies. Intake, screening, referrals and crisis intervention. . Psychiatric consultations. Admission psychiatric histories. Diagnosis. Treatment, medication maintenance, and therapeutic rehabilitation. Psychopharmacology (prescriptive activities). Administer injectable medications as prescribed. Provide limited individual, family and group therapy for outpatient clients as assigned. Prepare treatment plans, write goals, and objectives. Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. Participate in staff conferences. Participate in the Emergency "on-call" service for the psychiatric service. Will be required to travel to other clinics in the region. Will be required to provide telehealth services Other duties as required/assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing with a university identified major in psychiatric and mental health nursing
  • Must maintain an active RN license in Kentucky and hold APRN credentials
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, and provide proof of automobile insurance
  • Must pass a required Criminal Record Check and a Sexual Offender Registry check
  • Employee will be under the programmatic supervision of the Director of Nursing and the professional supervision of the Director of Medical Services
  • Will maintain a collaborating physician and supervisory agreement for the purpose of prescribing medication as dictated by Kentucky State Statute in accordance with licensure level and as credentialed by the Professional Staff Services Organization (PSO)
