This Opportunity: Monarch is searching for a PMHNP or Psychiatric Physician Assistant for a new comprehensive behavioral health center opening in June 2026 in Concord, NC, providing services for our Behavioral Health Urgent Care. Full Time - Mon-Wed from 7pm-7am Nights. A First Level Commitment Examiner Certification is a plus but not required. The position requires all onsite until the program is up and running efficiently, then a hybrid model of both onsite and remote may be considered. A Physician Assistant must have at least one year of post-graduate clinical mental healthcare experience, or a CAQ in Psychiatry. The Stephen M. Morris Behavioral Health Center is a 60,000+ sf, 72 patient 24-hour Tier 4 facility, with a Pharmacy, and a Learning Kitchen for the PRTF. The new facility will consist of a 24 bed PRTF for Children/Adolescents, a 16 bed FBC for Children/Adolescents, and a Behavioral Health Urgent Care offering services for both Children/Adolescents and Adults. The primary responsibilities of the PMHNP or Psychiatric Physician Assistant are to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications for people we support, which may include, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics diagnosed with mental disorders under direction of a qualified health care provider to enhance the quality of life through services that enable them to achieve their personal dreams and goals.
