About the position

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is a senior-level role focused on revenue generation and deal-making across various industries. This position requires a strategic thinker who can leverage deep relationships to negotiate and execute new partnerships that drive significant revenue for the company. The VP will work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple sectors, including digital, events, and streaming, while maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage deep relationships to source, negotiate and execute new partnerships and business ventures for PMC.
  • Research, prospect and close new digital and non-digital revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Creatively ideate and test new revenue models to keep PMC at the forefront of innovation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Service PMC O&O businesses with deal-making and ink portfolio-wide deals to meet corporate objectives.
  • Lead partner relationships with key social, content and distribution platforms.
  • Renegotiate and extend existing content licensing deals and other Biz Dev partnerships.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' business development experience with at least 5+ years' experience in strategic partnerships at a Media/Entertainment company.
  • Expertise across numerous industries and business disciplines.
  • Strong negotiation skills and adept at developing leads, pitching partnership concepts, and conducting diligence.
  • Proven success in developing revenue streams from owned IP across various industries.
  • Extensive experience building and executing innovative, non-advertising partner programs that drive recurring revenue.
  • Deep understanding of Media and Entertainment industry revenue models with a proven track record of driving deals.
  • Sophisticated understanding of contract review and ability to work closely with Legal to close deals.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and negotiating complex deals while managing competing priorities.

  • Experience in both digital and non-digital sectors is preferred.
  • Proactive, extroverted demeanor with a strong sense of urgency.
