About The Position

The Raw Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, or tending to the Press. This role involves accurately adjusting settings on the Press as needed for product runs and providing day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management to meet production and quality requirements. The operator must understand Daily’s GMP’s and safety policies and will rotate job stations within the Raw department. Key duties include equipment setup, pre-operational checklists, selecting programs, adjusting settings, and breakdown of the Press. The operator is also responsible for gathering necessary supplies and tools, maintaining machines at centerline settings, and completing all CIL (clean, inspect, and lube) tasks. Ensuring product quality by understanding bacon specification requirements, working at a pace consistent with line speeds, keeping accurate records and counts, and minimizing scrap are also critical. Adherence to procedures outlined by the Department Supervisor/Department Lead, Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules, Good Manufacturing Processes, and Safety guidelines is mandatory. The position may require assisting in other areas based on business needs and performing other related responsibilities to support Daily’s business objectives.

Requirements

Understand proper raw processing procedures and packaging of product.
Must have superior attendance record
Ability to speak, read, and write basic English to interact with equipment screens, complete reports, and communicate via radio as needed.
Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Capability of working with and calculating percentages
Must consistently follow company rules and procedures and ensure consistency with product specifications
Able to adhere to specifications

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, or tend to Press
