Westerly in Shell Beach is a full-service coastal restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are looking for reliable and motivated PM Line Cooks who take pride in their work and can perform consistently in a fast-paced evening service environment. PM Line Cooks are responsible for executing dinner service with consistency, maintaining organized stations, and supporting overall kitchen operations during high-volume periods. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. We provide full coverage for required Food Handler certification. Training time and certification costs are covered in accordance with company policy and California requirements. Employment is at-will in accordance with California law. Requirements

  • Previous line cook experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, and roasting
  • Ability to follow recipes and execute consistently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handler Certification

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations for evening service
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to company standards
  • Execute dishes with consistency, accuracy, and proper timing during service
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned station
  • Communicate with kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation
  • Assist with prep and closing duties as needed
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support team members to maintain a high-functioning kitchen
