About The Position

This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, a mission-driven family and group conference and retreat center serving over 150,000 guests annually. The PM Laundry Supervisor assists in the daily operations of the Industrial Laundry by effectively motivating, training, and supporting staff to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. This role ensures that all laundry machinery is operated safely and correctly, chemicals are properly handled and inventoried, and linens are well-stocked and in good condition. The PM Laundry Supervisor also oversees laundry operations in the absence of the Laundry Manager, maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an industrial laundry setting preferred.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and motivate laundry crew members while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Housekeeping Managers to coordinate projects and stocking needs.

Responsibilities

  • Possess a valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving policies to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work both AM and PM shifts as needed.
  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily laundry operations in coordination with the Laundry Manager.
  • Work with the Laundry Manager to ensure all machinery, chemicals, and vehicles are properly operated, maintained, and safely handled.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices and procedures at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with the Laundry Manager regarding project progress, operational needs, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure lodge supply closets are properly stocked, organized, and that Housekeepers have the necessary linens and cleaning materials.
  • Uphold and reflect the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Faith in all functions.

  • Possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills; for example, friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional.

  • Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards.
