About The Position

This position works with supervisors, service associates, and key customers to ensure continued satisfaction of services. The Cleaning Manager leads a team of professionals and ensures tasks are completed, instructions are understood and upholds the standards of cleanliness. Success is measured by the delivery on contract promises, increased effectiveness and/or efficiency of delivered services through deployment of ISS standards and concepts leveraging innovation and best practice opportunities. The role involves successful delivery of prioritized projects and programs, understanding upcoming priorities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, and linking project delivery to business needs. The manager will deploy relevant projects following global/local standards with complete ownership of project roll out and completion, develop their own skill base, participate in development opportunities, promote the IFS model, transfer best practice, and use the account to promote and further develop ISS.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with strong emphasis on customer service
  • Knowledge of custodial/commercial cleaning
  • Demonstrates strong skills in: Communication, Decision-making, Leadership, and Problem-solving
  • Demonstrates professional and political aptitude
  • Strong computer proficiency skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Janitorial Industry preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enforce company and customer goals, policies, and procedures
  • Manage daily operations in cleaning to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided
  • Identify places to improve performance, policies, and programs
  • Promote responsibility for safe and controlled work environments
  • Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner
  • Develop own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self-improvement
  • Support the team, and report to the Facility Manager, additional support to Center of Excellence
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required
  • Develop and manage employee population
  • Trains and manages employees and vendors to ensure all client rules, guidelines, regulations, and expectations are adhered to
  • Develops and maintains strategic customer relationships
  • Serves as liaison between clients and company departments/divisions
  • Conducts service review meetings with clients concerning ISS performance, vendor performance and process improvements
  • Surveys buildings for staffing purposes and cost evaluations
  • Maintains labor and account budgets
  • Examines work completion in accordance with contract deliverables
  • Monitors quality control throughout assigned facilities
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
  • Follow safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, and upholding quality standards in all tasks
  • Actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns
