About The Position

The Courtyard Rochester Downtown, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is currently seeking a DRIVEN Houseperson. As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for ensuring that our hotel's public areas and guest rooms are clean, tidy, and well-maintained. You will work closely with our housekeeping team to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Clean driver's license to drive shuttle.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and elevators
Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning and maintaining guest rooms
Deliver linens, towels, and other supplies to guest rooms as needed
Remove trash and dirty linens from guest rooms
Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
