About The Position

The Airport Electric Cart Driver plays a crucial role in providing safe and efficient transportation for airline passengers within the airport terminals. This position focuses on assisting travelers, particularly those with disabilities, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience as they navigate the airport. The driver is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service and collaborating with airport personnel to address passenger needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a genuine desire to assist and support others.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards passengers, especially those with disabilities or special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with passengers and colleagues.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to undergo training and certification as necessary for the operation of electric carts and compliance with airport regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient transportation for airline passengers between gates and various areas within the airport terminal(s) using electric carts.
  • Offer assistance and support to passengers with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met throughout their journey, including arriving, departing, and connecting flights.
  • Assist all travelers needing aid with luggage handling, en route restroom breaks, and restaurant stops, ensuring their comfort and convenience.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with passengers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the electric carts, to ensure a pleasant environment for passengers and staff.
  • Collaborate with airport personnel and other team members to address any passenger concerns or emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling of luggage and operating electric carts in a responsible manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of airport services.
