Requirements

• High school degree required, with technical/formal training preferred.
• Two to four years previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of wood products manufacturing process is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Possess problem solving, analytical, organizational, and team building skills.
• Must be able to work well with people and facilitate change and growth in a total quality management environment.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily activities of the production employees in a mill environment.
• Plan and assign work.
• Supervise the production lines for safety, product quality, and workflow.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to BIC (Best in Class) and the process of continuous improvement.
• Make recommendations to improve performance metrics.
• Train, motivate, and coach employees.
• Ensure that all company and departmental procedures and expectations are met.
