Tutor NKU students, both in-person and online, in course content and skills for courses in which the tutor earned an "A" grade; maintain accurate records. Requirements

• Acquire signed faculty recommendation form and attach as "Letter of Recommendation" to this application. No separate letter of recommendation is required.

• 30 or more semester credit hours earned, including transfer/early admit work
• Grade of "A" or "A-" in course(s) tutored
• Enrollment in 6 or more semester credit hours during time of employment;
• Maintain GPA of 3.25 or higher
• Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.

Responsibilities

• Tutor NKU students who request assistance in improving their skills, knowledge, or understanding of specific courses; maintain accurate records. [PLUS Tutors do NOT tutor writing or English composition courses; Writing Center consultants do this work.]
• Maintain adequate progress with training and development.
• Other duties as needed.
