About The Position

The Plumbing Technician at Delponte Plumbing & Heating is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of plumbing systems in residential buildings. Requirements

  • Current plumbing license
  • 5+ years of technical and trade experience
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems
  • Understanding of current regulations within the field
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • General knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe use
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Provide an acceptable driver's abstract and maintain a valid driver's license

  • Sales experience in plumbing services

Responsibilities

  • Complete plumbing, drain cleaning, and other related in-home service calls.
  • Serve clients by expertly servicing their entire plumbing system.
  • Maintain a neat work area and wear floor savers while in the client's home.
  • Explain services being performed to clients and demonstrate superior service.
  • Understand sales criteria and hold oneself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
  • Establish customer rapport to sell appropriate products and services.
  • Re-check all plumbing repairs and installations before leaving the client's home.
  • Educate customers on finance options and maintenance plans.
  • Explain club memberships to clients and encourage sign-ups.
  • Maintain a conversion rate of at least 25% for non-club members and a 90% renewal rate for existing members.
  • Present oneself as professional and knowledgeable to win referrals and repeat business.
  • Keep the company truck clean and organized, maximizing its visibility as a billboard.
  • Collaborate with customer service and dispatch for overall business success.
  • Be accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, and feedback forms.
  • Adhere to the company Code of Ethics and Team Rules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
  • Participate in training exercises, morning meetings, and retreats.
  • Train and mentor apprentices for quick and accurate repairs and installations.
