The Plumbing Superintendent will supervise and coordinate the activities of Foremen engaged in the installation of plumbing equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of field experience as a Plumber in a Mechanical Construction Company.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience leading trade roles in commercial construction.
  • GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  • Proficient in shop math.
  • Skilled in using tools, metals, and machines.
  • Ability to visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints.
  • Work within precise limits and standards.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties that may change frequently.
  • Understand and follow English instructions; able to provide clear directives to assigned helpers.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Gas Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders as needed for each project.
  • Assemble procurement orders for materials, equipment, and tools required at project commencement.
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, considering the capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for Foremen and workers to ensure optimal job placement according to blueprint specifications.
  • Study schedules and estimate man-hour requirements for job completion.
  • Maintain time records and ensure timely procedures are followed.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems to achieve win/win solutions.
  • Train Helpers as needed, providing instruction on proper tool handling and work specifications.
  • Make cost estimates for contracts when necessary.
  • Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations across all work areas.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
