POSITION OVERVIEW We are currently seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Estimator/ Project Manager to join the fast-growing FirstCall Mechanical Team. This person is responsible for overseeing plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and construction processes. The Project Manager collaborates with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in plumbing, preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in plumbing, with at least 2 years in a project management role
  • Experience managing commercial and industrial plumbing projects, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and construction processes.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee plumbing projects from inception to completion.
  • Estimate projects and send out quotes.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and contracts to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Supervise and support plumbing teams, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues to avoid project delays.
  • Track project progress, document key milestones, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Oversee plumbing projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to align expectations
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standard
