About The Position

ModernControls is a leading provider of HVAC and building automation services for commercial facilities across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C. and New Jersey. With over 220 employees, and a fleet of over 150 service vehicles, our team of experts install, maintain, and design Building Automation and HVAC systems designed to help facility managers control building environments and operating costs. ModernControls is seeking an eager and hard-working professional to join our team as a Plumbing Salesperson on the Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service while selling plumbing products, services, and solutions. This role involves both inbound and outbound sales activities, working closely with customers to identify their plumbing needs, recommending the right products, and building long-term relationships. This position is full time with a generous base salary + commission structure.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and in good standing
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and balance several customers/projects at a time
  • Thrive in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Industrial/Commercial HVAC
  • Masters Plumbing License in DC, MD & VA
  • Efficient in Microsoft Products

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Customer Service: Engage with customers to understand their plumbing needs and provide tailored recommendations. Sell plumbing services to commercial clients.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong knowledge of plumbing products, services, tools, and equipment to answer customer inquiries effectively.
  • Lead Generation & Networking: Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, plumbers, and other industry professionals to generate leads and increase sales.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain partnerships with clients; their trusted advisor to provide solutions and support to maintain and optimize their plumbing systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with our service teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the management team.
  • Product Demonstrations: Demonstrate products to customers, explaining how they work and the benefits they offer.
  • Follow-up: Perform follow-up calls with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
  • Customer Feedback: Collect and report customer feedback to management to improve sales strategies and product offerings.
