About The Position

The Plumbing Sales Technician is responsible for quoting, selling, and installing plumbing projects for customers. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, sales ability, and customer service to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the employee is responsible for invoicing customers and collecting payments.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record deemed acceptable by company insurance carriers.
Experience in plumbing installation, service, and sales preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to provide accurate project quotes and close sales.
Proficiency in invoicing and payment collection.
Ability to follow company policies, including the material purchase policy
Reliable transportation to job sites as required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
Ability to stand, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

Assess customer plumbing needs and provide accurate project quotes.
Effectively communicate project details, pricing, and benefits to customers to secure sales.
Follow up on leads and customer inquiries to generate sales opportunities.
Perform basic plumbing installations and repairs according to industry standards and company guidelines
Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Massachusetts plumbing codes.
Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide solutions to customers.
Invoice customers promptly and ensure timely payment collection.
Adhere to the material purchase policy when procuring plumbing materials.
Clock in and out for each shift to track hours worked.
