This position uses a computerized maintenance management system (MMS) to develop, implement, manage, maintain, and update work orders, equipment files, parts inventory, labor resources, maintenance budgets, and preventive maintenance procedures. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring maintenance and project work for Plumbing, Ventilation, Mechanical, and Heating Plant Crews. This position will monitor and report on budget progress for maintenance and project activities. This position is the primary contact for coordinating work with campus customers and multiple outside vendors.

  • Develop, implement, manage, maintain, and update Tririga maintenance management system for work tasks, equipment files, parts management, preventive maintenance, and purchasing for assigned crews.
  • Act as Lead Planner for Tririga O&M work group, including coordinating with Minneapolis support group, attending planning meetings, compiling necessary data, and pushing information or changes out to other Planners.
  • Plan, schedule, distribute, and monitor daily work tasks. Develop scope of work, assist with project estimates, coordinate work with other trades, and prepare material requisitions.
  • Coordinate, schedule, plan, and monitor work done by outside contractors for both maintenance and project related services.
  • Act as a training resource for the Tririga system for crews, customers, and contractors.
  • Apply for required permits for all crew work. Act as contact for questions and concerns from code inspectors.
  • Supervise and direct work of student workers in your area.
  • BA/BS plus at least four years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least eight years.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, or managing a similar work environment is required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in mechanical spaces.
  • Experience with Tririga maintenance management system.
  • Experience with planning, distribution, or installation of Plumbing products preferred.
