Requirements

• Five years of trade specific experience working with plumbing and mechanical systems related to Building Infrastructure or completion of a one-year trade-specific program.
• Must demonstrate abilities to operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment relating to Building Infrastructure.
• Four years of military experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of the field service experience requirements.
• Experience working in a healthcare facility is preferred.
• Minnesota Journeyman or Masters Plumbing License and a valid Drivers License.
• ASSE 5110 Backflow Prevention Tester Certified and ASSE 5130 Backflow Prevention Rebuilder Certified or able to obtain this within a timeframe established at the time of hire.
• A Minnesota Special Engineer Boilers License is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment relating to Building Infrastructure.
• Complete Preventive Maintenance per policies and/or procedures following the CMMS timeline ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrates effective communication, assertiveness, and versatility in responding to customer needs.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks.
• Work with others in planning and scheduling for modifications and repairs to systems with minimal disruption to the mission of the organization while meeting fiscal constraints.
• Be alert to all aspects of equipment when responding to customer requests and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to others.
