As a Plumbing Journeyman, you will support commercial construction projects by installing plumbing systems. Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others. Install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, or other liquids. Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site to accurately install systems. Installation of copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping. Duties could include setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc. Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed. Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Requirements

1 – 3 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred
Valid / current journeyman plumbing license preferred.
Must complete company specific welding, soldering and/or brazing test for employment.
Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude.
Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
Excellent communication and customer services skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
Must be able to work independently with and without supervision.
Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials
Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a physical ability test
Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.

Nice To Haves

Medical Gas Certification, or ability to obtain, preferred.
Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper preferred.
OSHA 10 hour preferred.
