About The Position

The Plumbing Helper is an entry-level role designed for individuals who want to learn the plumbing trade from the ground up. In this position, you will assist a Plumbing Technician with installations, maintenance, inspections, and light repair of plumbing systems in homes and offices. Under the direction of a licensed plumber, plumber helpers install pipes, replace faucets, unclog toilets, install garbage disposals, and adjust water pressure. Your primary goal is to develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits necessary to grow into a skilled plumbing professional. Starting pay is determined based on skills and experience.

One (1) year of general labor experience using manual and power-operated tools
High school diploma, vocational-technical school diploma, or GED
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to work on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Ability to work in tight or awkward spaces and carry required tools and equipment
Exposure to construction site conditions including noise from power tools and dust/debris
Ability to sit for extended periods when required
Ability to travel for training and meetings as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience in the trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
Experience with ServiceTitan software

Responsibilities

Assist Plumbing Technicians with light repair, maintenance, and installation work
Observe and learn all aspects of plumbing systems and building performance services
Maintain a clean, organized job site and properly inventoried truck
Wear floor savers and protect customers’ homes while performing service
Communicate professionally and courteously with customers
Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Follow all company safety standards and best practices
Participate actively in training sessions, morning meetings, and team events
Follow the company Code of Ethics and Team Rules
Remain safety-conscious on job sites and while driving
Travel to training sessions or meetings as required (up to 25–50%)
Perform other duties as assigned
