About The Position

Black Tie Plumbing is seeking a driven and experienced General Sales Manager to lead and scale our sales operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all revenue-generating activities, managing the sales technicians, and implementing strategies to increase close rates, average ticket, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven track record in home services sales, capable of coaching teams, analyzing performance metrics, and driving consistent growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in plumbing or home services management
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
  • Strong understanding of service operations, sales processes, and customer service
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions
  • Journeyman licensed required
  • Must be able to reach, kneel, squat, crawl, drive
  • Customer Service via speaking multiple hours with use of telephone
  • Stationary sitting/standing for long periods of time
  • Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
  • Other hours and weekends are based on business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ArcSite, Salesforce, or similar systems preferred
  • Responsible Master Plumber (RMP) license preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the sales team including technicians, comfort advisors, and inside sales staff
  • Drive revenue growth by improving close rates, average ticket value, and conversion performance
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and sales metrics
  • Train and coach team members on sales processes, communication, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to align lead flow and service delivery
  • Review estimates, proposals, and pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability
  • Conduct ride-alongs, call reviews, and performance evaluations
  • Implement and refine sales systems, scripts, and processes
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism throughout the sales cycle
  • Partner with leadership to develop strategic growth initiatives
