About The Position

DirectHire Local Construction Management Firm is looking for an experienced Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join their growing division! Our client offers exceptional benefits and the opportunity to grow with the organization! Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer must have at least 3-5 years experience designing and building plumbing systems for new commercial construction as well as renovating existing systems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience designing and building plumbing systems for new commercial construction as well as renovating existing systems
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering

Nice To Haves

• LEED AP accreditation preferred
• CPD certification is highly desired
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is desired
• Revit design experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design from concept to construction completion
• Job costing and estimates with the goal of keeping project within budget
• Calculate water/gas/sanitary/sewer/storm loads for utility coordination
• Survey and assess existing buildings and associated plumbing and fire protection systems
• QC of documents and drawing to ensure compliance
• Experience with bids/RFI/RFP
