Your Purpose in this Role We are one of the top premier Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Contractors in the state of Arizona. We are looking for growth-motivated and self-starting individuals who value efficiency, reliability, and family. The Commercial Plumbing Estimator (Level 2) is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates that support the award of $6–10 million in annual contracted work. This role independently manages bids while collaborating closely with Business Development, and Operations to ensure scope clarity, risk alignment, and a seamless transition from estimate to execution. Beyond estimating, this position contributes to the company's long-term growth strategy by supporting consistent margins, disciplined pursuit decisions, and scalable estimating processes. Pay Based on skills, experience, performance and ongoing training attendance.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of commercial Plumbing estimating experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently support $6-10M in annual awarded work.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and construction means and methods.
  • Experience with estimating and takeoff software (FastDUCT, FastPIPE, Bluebeam, Bidtracer, ect.)
  • Visionary mindset-able to think beyond the current bid and understand long-term impact.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Thrives in a team-oriented culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed Plumbing estimates including labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions.
  • Develop and deliver accurate, timely estimates while keeping stakeholders abreast of status.
  • Independently manage assigned bids from opportunity review through final proposal submission.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to ensure complete and executable scope coverage.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Identify project risks, constructability challenges, and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Apply company estimating standards, historical data, and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to align pricing, risk, and execution plans.
  • Participate in scope reviews and turnover meetings to support strong project starts.
  • Maintain organized estimate documentation for awarded and lost work.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
