About The Position

Blazer is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator/Designer to join our Estimating and Engineering teams. If you enjoy creating efficient plumbing designs, solving challenges, and working on exciting projects, this is your chance to make an impact in a collaborative environment. Requirements

  • State of Oregon Journeyman Plumbing License (required).
  • Experience in plumbing system design and estimating.
  • Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of standard construction and design techniques, materials, and practices.
  • Proficiency in trade-specific codes adopted by the states we build for.
  • Basic working knowledge of the cost of goods and services related to plumbing.
  • Ability to review and understand prints, basic floor plans, sketches, or full construction drawings and specifications.
  • Understand project cost control and change order management.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or ability to learn quickly; skilled in hand drafting schematics.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite, SAGE Estimating, and Autodesk ACC (ProEst and Build)

Responsibilities

  • Design complete plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and modular projects.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with trade-specific codes.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
  • Perform takeoffs and track performance against estimates.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve installation challenges and improve processes.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to maintain quality and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to product standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exercise independent judgement.
  • Actively engage with a continuous improvement and growth mindset.
