We are looking for a mid-to-senior level Plumbing Engineer for our Southeast region. This position could sit in either our Charlotte, Atlanta, or Miami office (hybrid role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional plumbing engineering industry experience
  • Proficiency in project management, leadership, mentoring, and Client relations.
  • Candidate must have the ability to create and modify technical drawings and specifications
  • Customer service perspective with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

Nice To Haves

  • PE preferred or ability to get licensed
  • Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) preferred.
  • AutoCAD and Revit are extremely helpful and preference given to candidates that have proven experience

Responsibilities

  • Supports the design of Plumbing and Piping systems throughout all company market sectors including academic, commercial, healthcare, science and technology and mission critical.
  • Assume responsibility for designs of Plumbing systems including sanitary, vent, storm, natural gas, domestic cold, hot, hot water return, grease waste, Pure water systems, Acid waste, high rise plumbing design, condensate, medical gases, vacuum, and laboratory gases.
  • Coordinate with the design team and/or construction staff to lead related portions of construction planning and visit the project construction site throughout the construction administration process along with field reports, RFI responses and submittal reviews.
  • Survey existing project sites to document the existing plumbing conditions and to assess existing plumbing infrastructure and to prepare due diligence reports.
  • Responsible for designs of automatic sprinkler, standpipes, high rise fire pumps, gaseous agent suppression, fire alarm, voice evacuation, mass notification, special technology fire detection and smoke control.
  • If licensed, perform the role of Engineer of Record for Plumbing designs.
