About The Position

Air Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with expertise in HVAC/MEP to manage projects from estimation to execution in San Jose, CA. This role involves developing budgets, estimating costs, and overseeing plans and documentation. The Project Engineer drafts and designs while coordinating procurement, managing resources, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining financial oversight. Strong leadership, effective communication, and a focus on client satisfaction are key to success. If you excel at AutoCAD, Revit, load calculations, and completing RFQs and RFIs, this role is perfect for you.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R concentration preferred
  • Experience working with Revit

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with co-workers and clients.
  • Build and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
  • Draft and understand proposal letters, RFIs, RFQs, and T24 documents.
  • Develop permit drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Review and compile submittal packages in a timely manner.
  • Complete takeoffs and prepare a summary of costs.
  • Establish, lead, and manage project teams effectively.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues to ensure smooth execution.
  • Procure necessary materials and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate cost control and projections for all projects.
  • Lead by example, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Support accountability for both individual projects and the Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping/Plumbing (MEP) department.
  • Follow and uphold established Air Systems Project Management procedures.
