About The Position

MAC Mechanical is looking for three full-time Apprentice Plumbers (2nd - 4th year) to join our team. Previous experience is not required, we will teach you everything you need to know! Apprentice Plumbers start at $20/hour and receive increases regularly on a progressive wage schedule. What It’s Like Working For MAC Mechanical As an apprentice plumber, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that support our highly skilled technical team. You will be responsible for maintaining safe work environments and organizing jobsites under the supervision of a journeyman or master plumber. Work Schedule This is a full-time, safety sensitive position with standard workdays from Monday to Friday. The workday begins at 7:30 AM and typically ends when jobs are completed, usually between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. We value work-life balance, so 40-hour workweeks are standard, with opportunities for overtime as needed. Occasional nights and weekends may be required. Once an apprentice reaches a certain level of apprenticeship, call will be required. Apprentices are also required to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program. Apprentices are required to complete 8000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related instruction to earn a journeyperson plumbing license. MAC Mechanical pays tuition! Requirements

  • Valid Arkansas Driver’s License
  • A reliable smartphone that can send/receive calls and texts and download apps.
  • Ability to push, pull or lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • Average hearing and vision in both ears and eyes.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and in all weather conditions.
  • Acquire your own hand and battery-powered tools within the first year of the job.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to show up for work on time and responsible for completing job duties.
  • Apprentices are also required to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program.
