About The Position

Do you want to join a proven leader that is locally owned and operated in the Tri-Valley area with over 20 years of excellence and a rock-solid reputation? Our client prides themselves on a culture that celebrates their team’s victories through performance-based bonuses and regular company events. Unlike many in their industry, they prioritize their employees' quality of life by offering a schedule that currently requires no weekends and no on-call shifts, allowing you to build a fulfilling career without sacrificing your personal time. They are looking for a highly skilled Plumbing Advisor to join their team. The Plumbing Advisor is a specialized outside sales role focused on providing comprehensive diagnostic assessments and presenting high-value plumbing solutions to homeowners. The core responsibility is to run both demand and maintenance calls, perform thorough whole-home inspections (including crawl spaces), and create multiple estimates per call to educate and empower the customer's buying decision. Success in this role relies on a high conversion ratio and deep residential plumbing knowledge.

Requirements

  • Residential plumbing service experience is a must (commercial, industrial, new construction, and remodel experience do not count).
  • Minimum of ~2 years of sales experience (prior plumbing advisor or in-home sales background is highly preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic knowledge of residential plumbing systems.
  • Must be physically fit to go into crawl spaces and comfortably carry a ~35 lb sewer camera.
  • Required to utilize company-provided technology (iPad and iPhone).
  • Strong customer-facing communication and consultative sales skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Service Titan software is preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Run both demand and maintenance calls, effectively selling and generating revenue on all call types.
  • Perform thorough plumbing diagnostics and whole-home inspections (including crawl spaces) to identify current issues and future risks.
  • Create and present 3–6 comprehensive estimates per call to educate customers on tiered solutions (repair, replacement, upgrade) and empower their buying decisions.
  • Build strong, trust-based customer relationships and clearly educate clients on next steps, system health, and maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate and effectively hand off all sold work to the install team, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Primarily run company-fed leads, but also generate self-generated leads, which are encouraged and rewarded with a commission split.
  • Achieve a strong conversion ratio, targeting 60-65% in the first month and aiming for 75%+ once fully ramped.

Benefits

  • Hourly base pay ranging from $32-$40 per hour plus commission, with OTE ranging from $125,000 to $236,000 annually.
  • Retirement plan with company match.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and counseling benefits.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Provided tools/equipment and a company vehicle (van) provided after a 90-day probationary period (negotiable based on experience).
  • Regular company events and a supportive team environment.
