About The Position

A SIGN -ON BONUS OF $4,668 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT OF THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE : $2,334 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2,334 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE . This recruitment is for two (2) Facility Maint Tech – Mech Trade – Journey positions (00037264 & 00027028) . By applying, you will be considered for both (2) positions. Performs plumbing repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance per applicable codes and standards. Informs the supervisor and/or lead mechanic of any problems and provides updates on the status of work in progress. Assists with area coverage to ensure that work orders, maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) requests are completed. As this position works in areas occupied by students, particular care must be taken to address residents’ needs, while ensuring residents’ privacy and respect for their personal property. A valid North Carolina Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to start date. Cross-connect certification or ability to obtain one in first six months of employment.
