About The Position

IES Residential is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumber to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. You'll be working on new construction and renovation projects, primarily in residential settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Gas fitters card for the State of Albama
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential or multi-family plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA standards.

Nice To Haves

• Current State of Alabama Journeyman or Master Plumber license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with PEX, PVC, CPVC, and copper installations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems including water, drainage, and gas lines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
• Install fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, water heaters, bathtubs).
• Perform pressure tests on piping systems.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.
• Communicate with supervisors, contractors, and clients regarding project needs or issues.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Complete daily work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and timely.
