Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon! Job Summary: Our Plumbers complete assigned work orders and maintain plumbing equipment on Xanterra South Rim property. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $18.40 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Grand Canyon South Rim? Requirements

Minimum two-years experience as a commercial grade Plumber.
Ability to install water, drainage and sewer piping system.
Ability to plumb residential equipment.
Ability to replace water circulating pumps.
Ability to identify, measure, thread and join the various pipes used in plumbing.
Ability to sweat copper.
Ability to use all power and hand snakes on sewage lines.
Familiarity with all appropriate plumbing codes.
Ability to repair and replace all plumbing fixtures: to include toilets, sinks, and faucet seats, washers and stems.
Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
Possess physical ability to perform the tasks including entering confined spaces, ascending/descending ladders and possibly trenches, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
Frequently: Stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 40lbs.
Occasionally: Lift/carry over 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

Assist in the completion all plumbing work orders in a timely, thorough and cost effective manner.
Adhere to all applicable building codes in the repair, installation or construction of plumbing.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies regarding plumbing projects.
Communicate with effected departments/areas as to water shut off/turn on, and other factors that may interrupt guest (including employee) service.
Wear all required personal protective equipment while performing tasks. Including receiving a preventive hepatitis shot.
Other duties as assigned.
