CLASS SUMMARY Responsible for skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of the airport's glycol and stormwater conveyance systems. These systems capture, convey, store, and treat stormwater, primarily, contaminated with spent aircraft deicing fluid. Other duties include doing work in a permit required confined space, snow removal, operating heavy equipment, data entry, environmental operations on-call responsibilities, as well as supporting other needs of the Airport as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing components in stormwater lines, glycol lines, chemical feed lines and sewer lines. Performs Preventative Maintenance tasks on various valves. Installs, repairs or replaces various valves and pumps. Ensures the airport is in compliance with current plumbing codes. May perform servicing and testing of other airport plumbing equipment. May perform utility locates for departmental assets. Performs water main and fire hydrant repair. Complete work orders and record time/material utilized. Performs on-call duties, specific position assignments will vary based on department and organizational needs. Assist with contractors to meet CVG AA standards and developing improvements to environmental operations equipment. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
