Position Summary The Plumber is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems, fixtures, and related plumbing equipment in accordance with project drawings, codes, and company quality standards. This position operates within a union environment and must comply with applicable collective bargaining agreements, OSHA standards, and Harbinger Production safety and quality policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential or commercial plumbing installation.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, pipe sizing, and materials used in the trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Basic math and reading skills; ability to use digital tools or tablets for work orders and data entry.
  • High attention to detail to ensure code compliance, quality standards, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow direction accurately and safely.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching during the shift.
  • Occasional overhead work and use of ladders or lifts.
  • Regular use of hand and power tools; repetitive hand and arm motions may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and plumbing schematics to plan layout and installation of piping, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Verify drawings and installation plans for compliance with state and local plumbing codes and company quality standards.
  • Install rough-in materials, water supply lines, drainage systems, valves, and fixtures per manufacturer specifications and QC/QA procedures.
  • Conduct hydrostatic and air pressure testing of completed plumbing systems per company and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing installations, identifying and correcting issues in coordination with quality assurance teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, time worked, and project or unit progress.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with company and Cal/OSHA safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.
