About The Position
As a Plumber at Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation of plumbing systems within the resort. This role is crucial for maintaining the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, who come from around the world to enjoy the amenities and attractions of Central Florida. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including diagnosing plumbing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance in guest units, common areas, and the resort grounds. Your expertise will help to uphold the high standards of service that our guests expect. In this position, you will perform engineering projects and respond to guest calls, ensuring that all plumbing systems are functioning correctly. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing essential equipment such as booster pumps, water heaters, recirculation pumps, and boilers. Effective communication is key, as you will need to operate resort management software (HotSOS) and interact with team members through radios, phones, and emails. Additionally, you will be expected to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals, perform custodial and maintenance duties as directed, and carry out basic plumbing installations and repairs on various fixtures, including toilets, bathtubs, showers, and sinks. Your work will involve using a range of piping materials and techniques, ensuring that all plumbing installations meet safety and quality standards. You will also conduct leak tests to ensure the integrity of the plumbing systems, contributing to the overall safety and satisfaction of our guests.
