Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid plumbing license as required by state or local regulations
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on plumbing experience in commercial or industrial settings
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and industry best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and quality
  • Physical capability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying environmental conditions
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in plumbing from an accredited program
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Backflow prevention certification or willingness to obtain
  • Medical gas installation experience or certification
  • OSHA safety training completion
  • Proven customer service skills with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fixtures, and comprehensive plumbing systems throughout client facilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, water pressure problems, and drainage concerns using systematic problem-solving approaches
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute installations and modifications accurately
  • Test plumbing systems using pressure gauges and other diagnostic equipment to verify proper operation and identify leaks or deficiencies
  • Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and project teams on large-scale installations and facility improvement projects
  • Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and JLL quality standards
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each service call or project
  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls, providing effective solutions that minimize disruption to building operations
