About The Position
The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the administration of the day-to-day activities of the newly created Liquid Waste Management Shop. This position entails planning, assigning work orders, reviewing the work of journeyman plumbers and trades helpers performing duties in accordance with standard trade practices to maintain and repair infrastructure, keeping required records and the Facilities Superintendent advised of performance and safety issues, and ensuring that the shop maintains the high standards of safety and productivity consistent with divisional goals. The incumbent in this position will be tasked with planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of journeyman plumbers and skilled and unskilled trades helpers engaged to carry out the section's work. The incumbent in this position will serve as the Qualifier exclusively for the work within this section (Qualifier designation is not extended to other similar areas).
