About The Position

The primary purpose of the Plumber/Steamfitter I position is to perform a variety of maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of plumbing systems and fixtures including: supply systems, DWV system, plumbing, heating and steam fixtures/equipment. Assists in the work direction of other mechanics, trades helpers and mechanics of other skilled trades.

Requirements

• Technical school diploma or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Five (5) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of plumbing systems/equipment.
• Experience in an educational, industrial, or health care setting.
• Sound knowledge of blue print and schematic reading.
• Thorough knowledge of all applicable local, state, and national codes.

Nice To Haves

• New Jersey Black Seal Engineer’s License preferred.
