What this job involves: This position oversees the daily operation and maintenance of water and steam processes across building infrastructure systems. You'll manage both preventative and corrective maintenance on multiple water treatment and steam systems while ensuring safe, efficient operations and coordinating with clients to minimize operational disruptions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Trades schooling, technical, or vocational schooling completed
  • 3+ years of similar working experience in water and steam systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Ability to frequently lift 50+ lbs
  • Physical ability to safely bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, and turn frequently
  • Complete all assigned JLL and client required training

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with building automation systems and equipment monitoring
  • Knowledge of boiler operations and water treatment processes
  • Familiarity with work order management systems
  • Understanding of HVAC systems and building infrastructure
  • Previous experience in commercial building maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operation, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation of new piping and valves for building steam and water systems
  • Monitor and maintain heating and cooling valves, water cooling equipment, boilers, heating equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and filters
  • Troubleshoot system shortcomings and respond immediately to operational and emergency situations across critical building infrastructure
  • Review equipment logs to ensure proper operation and report problems or malfunctions as needed
  • Check malfunctioning equipment and determine corrective actions required to restore satisfactory operating conditions
  • Coordinate with client representatives to understand needs and schedule work within operational windows
  • Prioritize and schedule all preventative maintenance, corrective work orders, and emergency repairs (annual, monthly, weekly, daily)
  • Review and submit purchase requisitions for facility equipment and materials
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment while complying with hazardous materials storage and disposal policies
