About The Position

Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipe fittings and plumbing fixtures. Maintain water systems and drainage systems. Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital's mission, vision and values as outlined in this document, Employee Handbook and the Power of Excellence.

Requirements

• HS/GED required.
• Three years experience in plumbing repair and installation required.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and wire diagrams.
• Ability to use assorted power and hand tools.
• Knowledge of safety codes.
• Ability to perform all documentation requirements.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training in health care environment on equipment and utilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor plumbing repairs.
• Install/replace sinks, toilets, showers and tubs.
• Repair any holes in walls, floors, and ceilings that are cut for pipe work.
• Completion of work orders, PM's and other records in a timely manner.
• Requisition materials as needed.
• Respond to fire and other emergencies.
