About The Position

Performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems. The position involves maintaining, installing, or repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes, providing professional customer satisfaction, and testing pipes to determine whether systems are working accurately. The role requires interpreting and applying mechanical and structural blueprints to plan plumbing repairs and modifications, determining sources of plumbing malfunctions, and completing repairs as indicated or according to work orders. The individual will maintain accurate records on material and labor used, perform jobs as scheduled and within budget, inspect jobs upon completion, and ensure areas are clean. Additionally, the position involves responding to emergency calls as needed, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and executing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The role also includes repairing and installing electric and tankless water heaters and operating tools and equipment according to safety procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 4 plus years of experience with building plumbing maintenance
• Texas Journeyman Plumber License required
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to prioritize job functions
• Personal initiative and follow-through to completion
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to nights, weekends and holiday
• Climbing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, bending and twisting is required
