About The Position
Plumbers perform skilled plumbing work to maintain and repair plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. The State of Nevada Department of Correction is seeking to fill a Plumber II position at Ely State Prison in Ely, NV. This position will be working under the direct supervision of the Facility Supervisor II. The incumbent will be installing water, waste, seam and gas lines; design and layout plumbing systems; installing fixtures; repairing plumbing systems; maintaining and repairing water softeners. This position is required to work directly with inmate workers assigned to the Maintenance departments. Must be able to supervise journey level skilled workers and inmate workers. Incumbents in this position will also be required to complete general maintenance assignments along with plumbing assignment which will be determined by the Facility Supervisor 2 and/or Facility Supervisor 3. . This position works Monday ? Friday, weekends and holidays off. Schedule can change to meet the needs of the institution.
