Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Eight (8) Years Plumbing experience is required.
  • Three (3) Years Plumbing experience in a healthcare facility/environment is required.
  • Valid FL Driver's License required upon hire.
  • Ability to work various work shifts and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to travel between other Moffitt Cancer Center facilities.
  • Evidence of a good driving record and maintain a good record per Moffitt policy.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) Year High-rise Plumbing system experience is preferred.
  • One (1) Year Mechanical system experience is preferred.
  • One (1) year of supervisory or project lead experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for plumbing and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by the management team.
  • Ensures that preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are properly completed in a timely manner, documented and materials and time spent are also documented appropriately.
  • Performs inspections, maintenance and repair while providing a safe environment for patients, team members and visitors.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform as required: demonstrate knowledge of fire alarm response, demonstrate knowledge of Incident response, demonstrate knowledge of Response to Utility losses, demonstrate the ability to respond to an emergency, demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with leadership.
  • Develops technical training parameters. Trains and develops other team members working in the plumbing trade.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
