About The Position
To assist the Supervisor of Facilities in providing facilities that are properly maintained and conducive to a learning environment
Requirements
- Must have eight (8) years experience as a plumber
- Must have State of Louisiana Plumber’s Contractor license dedicated to this board to perform plumbing and gas-fitting work in all areas of Rapides Parish; a gas license is encouraged.
- Must be familiar with all types of industrial/commercial plumbing
- Must possess excellent health to permit strenuous work
Responsibilities
- Act as lead plumber and perform plumbing work as directed or required by work order
- Be diligent in performing work in safe manner
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Maintain written records as required and directed
- Be responsible and use good judgment in the purchase of job materials
- Operate any vehicles in a safe manner and follow policies as directed
- Perform work in a professional and timely manner
- Follow Rapides Parish School Board policies
- Sign in and out at each school and cooperate with all building personnel
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Facilities
